Built by researchers. Working with institutions. Generating evidence to improve population health.

Salus Mundi is dedicated to advancing public health through rigorous research, the implementation of preventive interventions, programme evaluation, and capacity building. Based in the heart of the Swiss Health Valley—one of the world’s leading ecosystems for biomedical science and innovation—we collaborate with partners ranging from individual researchers and local communities to universities, health systems, and international organisations.

Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and health technology assessments conducted to Cochrane, PRISMA, and JBI standards—designed to inform clinical guidelines, formulary decisions, and health policy.

Rigorous evaluations and field-based studies that assess the real-world impact of health programmes and interventions for governments, foundations, and international organisations.

Structured training in research methods, biostatistics, scientific writing, and evidence appraisal—building the skills institutions need to produce and use evidence independently.

In a world where the need for rigorous, trustworthy health research far outstrips the capacity to produce it, Salus Mundi was created to contribute work that is methodologically sound, scientifically honest, and consequential for the people it serves.

How we work

How we work

Discovery and Scoping

Every collaboration begins with a structured conversation to understand the research question, the decision context, available data, timeline considerations, and the scientific standard required. For individual researchers, this is typically a focused discussion. For institutions and partner organisations, it may involve a briefing note, review of background materials, or a technical exchange.

Structured Project Governance

Each project is conducted under clear governance and transparent scientific standards: defined responsibilities, milestone-based progress reviews, confidentiality safeguards, and quality checks at every stage. A designated project lead remains directly involved throughout, ensuring continuity, accountability, and close collaboration with all research partners.

Defined, Reviewable Output

Every project is anchored to clearly defined outputs agreed in advance—whether an evaluation report, a systematic review, a scientific manuscript, or a training programme outcome. All outputs are produced to rigorous scientific standards and designed to withstand external review by institutional leadership, funding agencies, peer-reviewed journals, and academic committees.
